Is the LFA the Best Car to Ever Come Out of Japan?
This post was just going to be a nice, easy Friday afternoon serving of hot and spicy LFA to help you kick the weekend off right. And yeah, it’s that, as these scintillating LFA photos clearly show.
But then Gear Patrol writer Henry Phillips had to up the severity of this whole post. Now we’ve got some serious debating to do. Cause you don’t just lay down a sentence like this without generating some chatter:
“… in terms of heart, soul, engineering and raw excitement, the Lexus LFA is the best car Japan has ever produced. No exceptions.”
I’m not saying I don’t agree wholeheartedly, as many here might. But still, it’s an opinion, and a strong one at that. And strong opinions are what make internet debates so great.
Phillips arrived at such a definitive stance after spending some time with lead LFA engineer Haruhiko Tanahashi and a “Racing Yellow” Nurburgring Edition LFA (which looks distinctly orange). And he doesn’t come to such a conclusion lightly.
So head on over to Gear Patrol and hear Phillips out. Then let us know if you agree. And if you don’t, prepare to defend yourself on the forums!
