How-To Tuesday: Make Your Own Car Wax
DIY. It’s not just an acronym, it’s a philosophy. You don’t rely on others to get you through life. You are free. You create the life you want. You do it yourself.
Well, this week’s How-To Tuesday project is pretty much the molten embodiment of that DIY philosophy. We’re making our own car wax this week. Did you even know that was a thing? I’ll be honest, I didn’t, but now that I do, I’m totally in. And I’m pretty sure I’m getting in early, like even before the hipsters start realizing this is the ultimate expression of individualism. Your car alone will have its own singular shine, made with heart, from your own singular shine.
In order to make your own car wax, the first step is to read this handy dandy article in Club Lexus‘s How-Tos section. It will easily walk you through the six-step process involved, and give you some stellar pro tips along the way. Like, don’t pour wax down your kitchen sink. Seems like good advice, no?
The whole project is easy-peasy, and shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes. You need some carnauba wax and some beeswax, among other items, so the DIY cost to you should be about $40. This may seem on the high side, but you can certainly find more expensive car waxes out there. Plus, can you really put a price on the ultimate expression of individualism?
