  • December 21, 2010 - It's official, Lexus Europe announces the start of CT 200h production, tomorrow December 22, 2010. The CT will be built exclusively at the first dedicated hybrid manufacturing plant in the world at TMC Kyushu's Kokura Plant. Since this car is targeted for European markets, they will get first dibs at the first units. The CT will eventually arrive in the U.S. on March 2011.   • December 15, 2010 - It's official, Lexus announced the pricing for the new 2011 Lexus CT 200h five door premium compact "full hybrid" vehicle. Starting at an outstanding $29,120, this will be the most affordable also the most fuel efficient Lexus yet. The EPA rates the CT at a combined 42 MPG with the use of 87 octane gas.... Read more

  • Torrance, CA - August 7, 2010 - During my visit yesterday in Torrance, I spotted two new CT200h prototypes at Lexus. This black one below was parked next to a Matador Red CT (it was driven away after I took these pics). These two CTs had all the options including navigation, Mark Levinson audio, radar cruise, park assist and all the goods. The Matador Red CT parked next to it had the high output LED headlamps. As much as we would like to see fully optioned CT200h here in the US, due to cost we will probably see most CT200h with the Lexus basics. That's not necessarily a bad thing as the pricing should be very enticing.... Read more
