Reliability

A car that you invest in should always be reliable, if not for your money, then for you and your family. In its 2016 Consumers Reports, Lexus hit number three in reliability and road test performance. In previous years it took the number one spot, but the third place shouldn't be discouraging, since landing in the top five still makes it a winner. Looking at it by class, the Lexus still wins most reliable in Luxury Compact Cars, Sporty Cars and Luxury Midsized/Large SUVs. Check out the Lexus models that won these classes here.

Safety Features

Besides its reliability, another thing to be thankful for are its safety features. Trips to the store this Thanksgiving are going to be stress-free knowing that your Lexus is equipped with everything needed to get you there and home safely. The GX, for example, has a 10-airbag system, blind spot monitoring as well as lane departure alert just to name a few. What else can make you feel that secure than a car that eases in lane changing and helps you stay inside it? If you thought the Lexus couldn't be safer, Lexus will be adding its Safety System Plus as standard equipment to almost all of its newer cars by the end of 2017. Looks and Comfort

Yes, being thankful for things like looks and comfort may be a bit selfish, but you can be secretly thankful for this on Thanksgiving and vocally thankful on any other day. Your car should be the envy on the road, so what better way to do that than with a Lexus? Many might have their own opinion as to which model is the best looking, but Consumer Reports finds the ES and LS to be two of the most comfortable cars. With the ES's heated and ventilated seats or LS's cold weather comforts, who could disagree? Of course, like the safety features, it would depend on the package you choose that determines the features your Lexus will be equipped with.

Image

Not speaking of the looks of the car per se, but more what it represents and how it makes you look. Owning a Lexus says a lot about you and your accomplishments, so why not be a little thankful for that? Driving a Lexus means you are not only intelligent but also an achiever. These are traits that everyone should be aiming for.

Innovations

The latest LS+ Concept car recently unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Show exemplifies how Lexus remains committed to innovating toward the future. As if the most recent iteration of the flagship LS wasn't fresh enough, this newer EV version promises to bring Lexus to the autonomous driving table. This Level 3 autonomy will provide a car that is completely capable of making "safety critical functions" under certain traffic or environmental conditions. It's not a new concept, and it's not even the most extreme concept out there, but it's an indication that Lexus is thinking about our future behind the wheel of one of the most luxurious cars on the road.
