Material Needed

  • Car keys

Step 1 – Bring up the odometer reading

Start your Lexus and push the odometer-trip button, which is located on the switch box, until the current mileage is displayed. Please note that this is to show the current total mileage, not the trip A or the trip B mileage.

Step 2 – Turn off the engine

After you have set up the display to show the current ODO mileage, shut down the car. The following steps will be done without the engine running.

Step 3 – Get into ACC mode

Without depressing the gas or brake pedal, press the start button only one time. This will get you into ACC mode.

Step 4 – Hold ODO trip and reset buttons simultaneously

Hold the ODO trip button and the reset button at the same time for about 5 to 10 seconds after you've entered the ACC mode.

Step 5 – Release the trip and reset buttons

Continue holding the ODO trip and reset buttons until the oil mileage reset message disappears. It's important that you continue to hold those buttons until that message disappears. Once the message has gone away, turn off the car. Then, restart to test.

Pro Tip

At the same time that the message disappears, the master warning light and an audible tone will sound. Make sure to hold the buttons in until that time comes.
