New vs old. I initially didn't notice the difference. After spending an hour trying to install the new one I gave up. The black accordion section is longer on the new strut. The box had the correct part number but the strut itself was a different part number. I purchased it from ebay for $200. We parked the car for 2 weeks due to shipping.
