Has anyone measured the diameter of the other available chargepipe. This one looks bigger than the other

So guys I don’t know but do mustang dynos read lower than a dynojet? 295.3 wtq on a mustang dyno sounds like well over 300wtq on a dynojet. I just wonder why this particular test map hasn’t been available even though it was leaked almost a year ago

This is kinda what I expect our turbo to do with a decent tune/down pipe. You can’t help the torque drop in the higher rpm unless you modify the turbo but you’ll still see the same problem, while you’ll see a slight power bump the torque will always drop in the higher rpm expecially with single turbo platforms. Atleast we have the twin scroll which holds boost much better than most other turbos

Looks like I hit about 19.5psi in 1st at around 3.3k rpm. I figure that’s atleast good for 290+ wtq

I hope so. If it’s actually TRd then it might be something that’s covered under warranty if the dealer installs it. Looks like it’s going to be on display at the 2018 Tokyo Auto salon car show’ which starts tomorrow and goes through the weekend

I can’t see anything in your photo of the stock engine. Looks like there’s stuff covering a majority of the stock turbo. the picture angle is different too. Maybe these photos will help us further determine

Here’s an example of a focus ST k03 turbo, capable of 290whp/370wtq. Like most OEM turbochargers, the compressor intake turbine circumference is always bigger than the circumferences exit’ of the compressor. The focus St compressor turbine is 40mm/50.9mm. The 8ar-fts compressor turbine is 40mm/54.05. Consensus, we have a bigger compressor “turbo” than the focus ST. I’ve covered this in recent posts but I wouldn’t expect you to read the entire thread

In this particular dyno the HP peaks inbetween the red arrows I drew. At the same time the HP peaked the turbo was atleast holding 17psi. You can see it right here. Any hp/tq/psi reading within the red box is realistically a waste because the HP and TQ takes a dive from there. Typically thats when people shift, when the power drops. All platforms are going to have different torque curves. The difference between a twinscroll TQ curve and a single scroll TQ is huge

This is a picture of our stock exhaust turbo manifold. It looks to be the same size as the trd version. We know for a fact that the compressor housing is bigger because we visually confirmed that while back. However I can’t definitively say the exhaust turbo manifold is bigger. Obviously the turbines would be upgraded but I think the tg20 used the stock exhaust turbo manifold while upgrading the compressor side entirely

This is the kind of flow test we need performed on our injectors. That the only real way to come up with the exact answer.

PCMflash is exactly what OV tuning is using. The PCMflasher is cheaper and only costs $150. PCM also doesn’t specify turbocharger support. I personally think PCM does everything besides turbocharger tuning
