I finally got sick of my short shifter and made an extension for it. Looks homo, but I can grab second way faster. I think you just gotta spank the ar5 into gear, it never does grind. So whatever. If I break the aisin, I have an excuse to upgrade. I found a 370z trans with 14k miles for 700 bucks...... I think the adapter is 450 then an ls1 bell is usually 250/300

Got my cam installed, I pushed a couple wood dowels up against the lifters for extra insurance. Was very nervous about dropping a lifter, I had one that was too happy to fall down on me but I succeeded.

I cut out a piece of hammer mill screen, which has a zillion little holes in it, and left 8 tabs to bend over and fit around the sub. Painted it silver cuz it's all I had.
