This is how I like mine, let's me know if I have an issue and where. My spare is not the same tire as the main 4 and my other rims are not registered/don't have sensors in them at all.

Inward/toward view of the plug from the rear of the car, very easy to access even if you don't have a lift IMO. I may be completely wrong though since I have only done this on my lift

Part way out, I got a good bit further than this today but I only had till 6:30 so I'm happy with how far I got it in a hour. Cowl and all brackets are out and I'll add a picture tomorrow of that.....oh and he is going to try and rebuild the unit instead of buying a new one. Pray for him.

Hood release is totally broken and I had to use a tierod to hold the latch open for me to be able to even get under the hood
