I would install the front( left side of this picture) side of the lift first then the other side.

Remove rubber bumpers from both sides. It gives you the needed room to snap the lift on. Without taking the bummer off you will need to compress the lift. Good luck with that.

remove both rubber bumpers so you can connect the other end. They just snap into the nipple. No need to pry the clip open.
