Default Mismatching tires?

Hey guys, so im in need of tires and someone is selling tires for cheap on my.is. My wheels are 18x8.5 all around and the tires that are for sale are 225/40 nitto neo gens and 255/35 nexen n3000. Would this set up be okay or should i just buy the 225/40's and search for another pair? is it also bad to mix tires, as in having the fronts be nitto and the rears nexen?

if you don't track or drive super aggressive, it should be fine.

Same axle should have the same tires. So the 2 up front should be the same, vice versa.

I would recommend having all 4 tires be the same. IF you have to mix for whatever reason, they should be the same style and speed rating, and not be mixed on the same axel.
