Firstly, I love you guys!

I'm in the UK trying to make my LS430 look all VIP and not only have you guys been able to send me the ASC680 to lower it, I only found out tonight how to set the 'extra low mode,' from more reading up on this forum. So thank you all for that!

Now I have the car and suspension, next is wheels.

I'm looking at Work Varianza D3S rims, but I'm getting lost on disk styles.

The pdf mentions standard A disk, deep dish O disk and big brake R disk.

Umm... does it matter what I go for, providing the et is high enough to clear the standard calipers?

yes, for your front you HAVE to get r disk so the wheel can clear the front calipers. for the rear, i believe you can go O disk for more lip

 

off topic but damn rominl you have some post count there! I've never seen anyone in any of my forums with that much (here's hoping you didn't "fix" it). In contrast, you have low trader score.

Anyhow, back to topic. +1 for Work wheels. I have them on my other car and couldn't be happier.

 

ok, thanks guys. I'm assuming then that even though the O disk and R disk might have the same ET, but the style of the spokes would mean they clear the calipers more on the R disk?

correct, difference is in the spoke design, R disk spokes curve out more to clear calipers, thus less lip size
