Default Tire size confirmation, please

Making good progress on my next round of mods... JDM wheels ordered last month, Supra TT brakes and rotors ordered, but I don't have my tires in route yet.

Wanted to make sure I get the correct sizing:

For my fronts 18 x 8 high disk with +37 offset, planning on 245-40-18

For my rears 18 x 9 low disk with +38, planning on 275-35-18

Does this sound right? I'm probably just going to stick with Bridgestone S03s as I'm very happy with the set I have on my stock 17s now.

Thanks
D

While a little wide for the rims, those are the tire sizes I would run. Better a little on the large side than small.

I just ordered my SO3s from Tirerack...hope they last at least 15k miles...how many have you gotten out of them?

Best of luck and POST PICS!!!

Late.

AG - They're great tires and have excellent handling/traction... also pretty good in the wet. I think I've got 10 or 11K on mine now, and they don't look close to showing much wear.

Thanks Sasha. They'll look like the ones in the pic in the link below (not exactly like those in the GS, but similar).

Looking forward to completing all my suspension and brake mods and getting out on a track soon.

Dave, The sizes may be OK but a little too tight.

I had 285/35/18 mounted on my 18x9.5 rim. Due to the short side wall, the installer had to stretch the tire pretty hard to get it on. Acctually they need 2 people to do the job, one use the metal bar to hold down the tire on one side while the other turned the wheel and mounted the tire.

I'd say for 18x9 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 will be a perfect fit.
