powder coating
Yes I did a search and I found lots of people that asked this question but I didn't see anyone who had answered that had done it, all the answered I saw were along the lines of 'it should be just fine'.
Question: I'm thinking about powder coating the stock IS300 rims (copper or bronze specifically); has anyone done this? and are there any negative side effects?
Thanks guys.

I just did a set of wheels, problem is I haven't mounted any tires on them yet
so I don't have any input on the overall results. The end result of the finished product are amazing, the entire wheel gets coated. Having multiple colors can get expensive because of the labor involved in the masking process, so keeping large polished lips, etc. could cost. Don't let them remove the exisiting finish with heat, they must be sand blasted.

ooo noted: sand blasting not heat for removal
i'm planning sold bronze/copper, so that should keep costs lower ... but now that i'm thinking about it ... w. a polished lip could look quite cool ... hhmmmm
does anyone have any experience with how powder coated rims stand up to winter or general road dirt?
