Default Help installing adapters

I'm installing adapters to the front wheels and because they move easily, I can't tighten the lugs as much as I should. Any suggestions on what to do so the front wheels don't move???

Not clear on your question. Most adapters bolt up to the rotor then the wheel is bolted to the adapter. Are you using the correct lug nuts for both the wheel and adapter?

Sorry. I was trying to bolt the adapters onto the rotors which moves very easily so it's kind of tough to tighten the lugs. Wonder if anyone knows some tricks to stop it from moving?

you've got some ****ty brakes then...

we torque the lugs on motorhomes to 450 lb-ft using their own brakes, 1 ton trucks to 150-170 lb-ft using their own brakes, and standard cars to 100lb-ft or more sometimes using their own brakes on a daily basis, using a torque wrench...

it's quite simple, we install all 4 wheels using a regulated impact wrench (depending on the vehicle, less than it's required torque), then someone jumps in the driver seat, pushes the brake, and someone torques all 4 wheels... even the rears that have less braking power is not an issue...
