Default Can you help me?

If 245/40/18 is within spec for a 98 GS400 on a 18.5 38 offset, how will a 255/40/18 affect the speedometre. Also will the sidewall bubble too much.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Rahim

wider tires wont effect ur speed. bigger tires do. u MIGHT be able to pull off a 255 on a 8.5 rims.

the speedo will be off by very little, i wouldn't worry about it. stock tires sizes are already a bit different between them anyway

kietlander, the sidewall of 255/40 is taller than 245/40. not much but there is a difference

Thanks guys, I decided to go with the 245/40/18 to stay closest to spec.
