Does anyone know the factory size 16" wheel for a 2001 gs 300. I know in 2004 it is 16X7.5" and specifies 225/55vr16. My stock tire is a P215/60r16. I was wondering if the 2001 also has a 7.5" width so I can replace my stock tires with the 225/55vr16 and not suffer any ill consequences.

You will be fine with a tire size of 225/55/16.
Your odometer speed will be 1.6% too fast. It's only a mile per hour faster then the actual speed your doing, not a big difference.
