Chrome should be added for final touches here and there, but don't go overboard. It doesn't look great on black cars. In fact, your car might look like you're sponsored by Pep Boys.

It looks good on some rides and not so good on others...

But as mentioned in a post above, it must have a dark window tint,
to make everything match.

As for just chrome pillars, on a white GS it looks really sick !

I have carbon fiber pillars including those on the quarter panels and slim pillars (located in front of the quarter panels on the 2nd gen GS).

I am thinking very hard on re-doing my pillars in chrome and leave the quarter panels and slim pillars in CF.

Whats your take on half chrome for the 4 big pillars and CF for the quarter panels and slim pillars?

The only thing chrome on my car is the oem trim around it and trunk bar.

thanks,

MARK

Definitely looks good on the blue one and Auto Fashion GS. It all depends. Maybe this is an item to get towards the end to see where you end up with your ride.

build your car to your taste because when you follow a trend, it just gets old...I put the chrome pillars on my car...4 years ago? people like them, people don't. I do it for me. btw, you can just strip the black paint and its chrome underneath. I have Sessions chrome pillars on mine. Its the car LilS posted above.

Never seen a chrome-pillared car I like. It totally changes the profile of a car, and draws most of your attention to the top half of the car, instead of towards the bottom where the body and rims are.

For me, it just ends up being too much chrome in the wrong place.

Chrome door handles work if subtely done...just the handle pull, not the whole surround.

For me, almost in all cases, less is more.

It's all a matter of taste.

I like it clean and simple, with little accents of chrome.

I believe cars look great with enhancements that are horizontal, such as handles and trunk garnishes. Those are little touches and items that are horizontal.

also, after market grilles that are horizontal such as Jp or Win or Kbreak.

With a nice drop and enhancements that are horizontal it helps make our GSs look "lower, wider, and longer".

With a big chrome vertical piece such as a pillar bar. It takes away that sleek look.

Maybe a with chrome or metallic tint a chrome pillar bar may blend in okay.

Imo, the Prussian GS could look good if it had Pink Pillar Bars. Reason is: it's sittin on the ground and it's a bad azz ride. haha
