Being flush Is hard !
yo broski, whats the wheels specs on these modulars? My wife just picked up a 06 flint mica and i'm looking for decent daily specs for her.
here was the original for sale thread that i purchased them from:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/whe...5-vouched.html
i want to say that the fronts were only like 2.5" outter lip and the rears were either 3.5" or 4" i forget which right now.
i was running F 20x9 +25 tucked no problem (225x35x20) (shaved fenders) on another set of wheels on the same car which is the offset for DD lowered on coilovers that i recommend (a little more aggressive than the vip modulars shown)
R 20x10+15 on a 275x30x20 (shaved fenders). i recommend at least a 10.5 or 11" wide wheel if you are going to run a 275x30x20 though, or i would have put a 265x30x20 on the 10 or 10.5 if i had it to do over... hope this helps some.

i had to trim about 3-4" worth out that was the closest to the outter fender/fender lip... this made the most improvements on rubbing noises out of any other mod i did.
i rubbed really bad on the inside felty fender liner thing so i took some gardening scissors to that a long long time ago

that height you see in the pics above was the lowest i could go in the front for my fairly aggressive driving habbits, but i still had an occasional very limited rub here and there. if its someone who is used to driving a lowered car i say you will be golden but i wouldn't want my grandfather to push this car like he did his cadi at this stance and just blow through intersections and corners and driveways like nothing. it still takes careful driving habits when turning into driveways and running "yellow lights" through unfamiliar intersections or you run the risk of hearing that awful sound that makes us all crunge. you know the sound of tire rubber on fender
i'm talking about...
i eventually pulled the front fenders out about 5mm and was actually able to lower the front about a half inch more. i highly encourage anyone with an LS430 to do this if you have a slight fender rub since it was so so easy when it was all said and done and you couldn't even see that they had been pulled at all at 5mm since it didn't take anything away from the flow of the manufactures design.
i really don't mind paying others to do this type of work on my car but when it comes to DIY usually don't get too far into the extreme and i was really scurred about pulling my fenders even a tiny bit but with my friends help and the proper tools (westwood fender roller thing & a heat gun & the patience of a grasshopper) it was really easy. the fenders have to be shaved really really thin first though.
i wish my current toyota crown was as simple, but now i rub inside the wheel well rather than the fender mostly so i think a fender pull in the front for me now would be pointless...

I'm running 20x10 +23 rears and there is zero chance I can run anything wider than the 245/35's I'm running now with shaved fenders.
i ran a 20x10 +30 with a 15mm spacer on a 275x30x20 tire on bc coilovers set as low as you can see in the pics above (different wheels than those pics) and shaved fenders and it was as aggressive as i could have gone. my rear camber was measured at like -3 degrees when i had my alignment done on it.
one thing to consider is the backpad spacing. my rear wheels barely cleared the front of the caliper and were like 5mm i believe so if you have 10 or 15mm thick backpads on your wheels this will eat into the amount of offset you can run.

now i recall perfectly,,, i was running a 255x35x20 tire on the 20x10 +30 with a 15mm spacer and it was flushy flushy flush (a ton of pics of that setup i remember posting in the LS430 section around February of 2011) but by the time i switched to the 275x30x20 tire on the 15mm spacer i had pulled the rear out about 5-8mm...

I've got to get some body work done in a few weeks and see if my guy can pull the fenders and shave them.
That doesn't sound fun on the Crown. Is there anything else you can do to fix it?

^^ Word. I just finished reading the entire thread again from beginning to end and find it really nostalgic to look back on the transformations from all the members here. It's crazy and thinking how long we've been trolling these forums watching the times and style change.
