Default Backup camera bad position

I noticed how easy water and dirt on the rear backup camera location because is so close to rear bumper and make water stay into the lens. Definitely the worst position they could find. ! Wonder if someone found a guard shield around de camera on the web who fit ?

I agree with you - I get that in inclement weather here in Chicago.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a resolution for this either, I just deal with it, though it does specifically suck during rain and snowstorms. Worst case is I get out of my vehicle and wipe :P

Isn't that true for any car though? I mean the back is the dirtiest place on any car since the beginning of cars. my ES camera gets the same water on it when it's wet/rainy out.

Definitely my worst backup camera from all my car 4-5. Proximity with rear bumper make water and dirt’s stay there. I will check if I could add a hood like VW ID4 people are doing to help a bit.!

I'm sure a 3D printer could aide in your solution. Not sure how much, but I don't think there's any current options for our cars as in direct 'bolt-on'.
