⚡ Fuel Efficiency Satisfaction ⛽
I'm really happy with the fuel efficiency of my new, three-week-old 250h F-Sport. My first tank was 17.3 km/L (41 MPG), while driving mostly in ECO mode and using the Radar Cruise control quite a bit (even off the freeway, at times). This was about 40% freeway and 60% non-freeway. However, while on the freeway, it was like surface streets because the Southern California rush-hour traffic made it stop-and-go traffic.
My second tank's efficiency is shown below, also at 17.3 km/L (41 MPG). However, this was while driving in SPORT mode (but conservatively) and using Radar Cruise control the same as aforementioned. The freeway percentage was about the same, too.
I think I'm going to stick with SPORT mode—if not for the quicker acceleration, then for the simulated engine roar (ASC)!
I thought the ASC was cool for maybe an hour or less, after that it really started to bug me for some whatever reason.
No complaints from me on the MPG regardless of even if it dips to low 30s here in Chicago due to winter. I came from a LS460 and as long as it's not as "bad" as that was, I'll be pretty content.
My statistics during the Christmas trip (Brussels, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland and back) a sum of 2.350km at a speed between 130km/h to 140km/h with a set of winter tyres and full load (4 persons) was 7 l/km which convert it to US metrics is 33.13 MPG.
