Default Windshield Cracks

I live in Canada so we have lots of rocks on the road in the winter and in spring. Since getting my Lexus UX250H in 2021 I have replaced the windshield twice (both time with Lexus). However my other previous vehicles (Nissan and Toyota) I needed to replace the windshield twice each in the six years for each car. I know with the Toyota Matrix we added a bug deflector to the front which changed the wind dynamic of the vehicle which prevented rocks from being driven into the windshield but instead forcing them over the vehicle. Does anyone know if the same is true for the UX250H? Is anyone having the same rock chip issue?

I'm about to replace my windshield for the second time as well (also OEM).

Sucks but it is what it is.

Basically all new vehicles have this problem the glass is straight up trash it shouldn't even be called glass. There are exterior windshield films out there but last I checked they were not perfected yet maybe that has improved. Main complaint is they have distortion.

Automotive glass can be made to last indefinitely but that would remove the massive cash cow that is glass replacement.

I was contemplating this but just unsure how this would be with wiper blades, particularly dust and other particulates that accumulate on there I would think.. would produce scratches immediately or over time.

Windshield film is self healing but yea I'm not sure either about durability either if I find a shop in town that does Xpel or other such film I'll talk to them about it.
