2025 ux
I'm sure some of you may have seen. I love the UX and glad it got this upgrade. I always thought the UX was a good successor to the Lexus CT which was one of the best cars Lexus made.
As of 2023, the 23+ UX is the current overall safest Lexus SUV money can buy. It's safer and stronger for its passengers than the new RX and new NX, even! Well done, UX team.

PLANO, Texas (Dec. 20, 2023) — A new powertrain has arrived for the 2025 Lexus UX 300h, and the versatile compact crossover now boasts 196 total system horsepower. A new hybrid transaxle and lightweight lithium-ion battery contribute to the higher output with the 2025 UX 300h, providing more responsive performance. Infused with dynamic attitude, the Lexus UXh is engineered to deliver quick and engaging driving with a Lexus-smooth demeanor. The 2025 model year also sees updated technology and safety features, and Copper Crest has been added as an exterior color option.
Only offered with a hybrid powertrain in the U.S., the 2025 UX 300h supports Lexus’ work towards the realization of a carbon-neutral society. Pricing for the 2025 Lexus UX 300h will be announced in the new year with the vehicle going on sale shortly after.
Fifth Generation Hybrid System
The 2025 UX 300h becomes the first Lexus vehicle powered by the fifth-generation Lexus Hybrid System, which pairs the inline four-cylinder 2.0-liter gas engine with two motor-generators through a planetary-type continuously variable transmission.
The engine, working in concert with the electric motor, assures responsive performance, while exemplary energy efficiency is achieved by using both electric motors to charge a compact and lightweight lithium-ion battery that has replaced the previous system’s nickel-metal hydride battery. The 60-cell battery is located under the rear seat, helping with passenger comfort and storage capacity.
A new hybrid transaxle has been adopted, enabling higher output of the front (83 kW) and rear (30 kW) motors. Combined, the engine, lithium-ion battery and high-output motor deliver up to 196 horsepower.
For 2025, shift-by-wire technology has also been introduced on the UXh, converting shift operations into electrical signals. With no mechanical connections, the setup helps enable a quicker and more seamless shifting experience. The 2025 UXh boasts an improved manufacturer-estimated 0-60 acceleration time of 7.9 seconds (AWD) and 8.0 seconds (FWD).
The UX 300h can be equipped with E-Four, Lexus’ innovative all-wheel drive system which places a permanent synchronous motor at the rear axle for near-instantaneous drive force application in low-grip or acceleration scenarios.
The UXh has a manufacturer-estimated combined 43 mpg rating on FWD equipped models and 41 mpg rating on AWD equipped models.
Exterior Design and Aerodynamics
The 2025 Lexus UXh features the iconic Lexus spindle grille, featuring a block-shape mesh pattern with individual elements gradually changing in shape as they radiate out from the central Lexus emblem. The headlamp design completes the UXh’s face with LED daytime running lights arranged in an arrowhead motif above the headlights to complement the Lexus L-shaped lighting signature.
The vehicle’s basic form flows out from the lines of the spindle grille to envelop the cabin. Crisp, prominent sculpted surfaces and dramatically flared front and rear fenders reflect the robust inspiration, while an aerodynamic profile, large wheels pushed to the corners, and an impressive front fascia create the agile, sporty stance.

The '23 Prius is a great example of how 5 years of refining the technology and camera systems from the NX/RX/UX models trickle down to the main brand (toyota).
Toyota did well to make an evolution statement of what an up to date compact car looks like. No question -- the 360 feature should be there. Especially in a Lexus.

Thats disappointing to hear. Perhaps the Prius is the way to go. Ux price points are becoming too high and underfeatured vs the Prius limited
With the introduction of the "new" UX for 2025, I am strongly considering swapping my 2022 RX350 F-Sport and 2021 Nisson electric Leaf for the UX.
I absolutely love my Leaf for around town but have to have the longer-range RX for out-of-town trips, so I'm hoping the UX will give me the best of both worlds in one car.
I am hoping someone on this forum has experience going from an all-electric car or the RX350 to the UX and can offer some thoughts on the change.

Lexus uploaded the updated UX to its configurator, the more powerful compact hybrid crossover renamed UX 300h from UX 250h. The larger number brings larger output from Toyota's fifth-generation hybrid powertrain, the same used in the latest Toyota Prius. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder heart gets help from a pair of motor-generators, a continuously variable transmission (CVT), and a lithium-ion battery instead of the current UX 250h's nickel-metal hydride pack. Lexus also fitted a new hybrid transaxle to bump the system's output to 196 horsepower, up from 181 in the 2024 car.
The additional potency results in higher MSRPs compared to the 2024 UX 250h, figures rising anywhere from $800 to $2,290. The prices, including the $1,150 destination charge, and their differences from 2023, are:
Copper Crest, an eye-catching color first made available on the RX crossover for the 2023 model year, joins the palette for the base and Premium trims; it can only be had on the F Sport models in a two-tone scheme with black as the secondary color. Inside, the changes include a smaller shifter made possible by shift-by-wire technology, redesigned buttons on the door panels, and additional chrome-finished trim. The base UX ships with a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, the Premium and F Sport models receive a new-for-2025 12.3-inch unit. The base, Premium, and F Sport Design come standard with an eight-inch infotainment screen. Premium and F Sport Design can be optioned up to a 12.3-inch touchscreen for $1,405, the F Sport Handling comes with the larger display.
Lexus pegs the 2025 UX 300h's 0-to-60-mph time at 7.9 seconds for the front-wheel-drive version, 8.0 seconds for the all-wheel-drive model, and improvement of about a half-second for each. The automaker estimates fuel economy on the combined cycle will check in at 43 miles per gallon in the front-driver, 41 mpg with AWD. Assuming the EPA comes up with the same numbers, the FWD version would do one better in combined mpg when compared to the 2024 UX 250h, the AWD version would go two better.
The UX is expected to reach dealers shortly.

I was looking at the new Prius too, but they seem to be in big demand, and dealers not willing to negotiate the price. They get better gas mileage, and have Safety Sence 3.0. The UX is much more available; at one time the local dealer had 18 UX's on lot.
