Using the LEXUS app, remote start allows you to start the vehicle and then open the door, get in and enjoy the heat or cooling that was possibly why you started it in the first place. Bonus: the exterior lights are not on and the vehicle doesn’t shut off. However, absolutely nothing else works until you restart the vehicle. Another bonus: the vehicle doesn’t shutdown when restart.
Suggestion: before you leave the vehicle, preset the air conditioning or the seat heat, steering wheel heat, defrost, etc. which will activate when you remote start.
