Default Morimoto 4 Banger HXB Foglights

Bought some to fit a 2020 RX and cut the plastic mounts down until they fit the TX premium Factory fog light location.

used a complete separate harness (14 gauge wire w 45 amp draw) with Relay and triggered the relay from the factory Foglight wiring harness. (22 gauge wire 4 watts draw)

Roughly 3-5x brighter in the factory location.

do you really think the OEM lights are lacking? I think they are really good. I turned the low beams up a crank or two inside the hood with a socket and am very pleased with output. only thing is the high beams seem to be a bit lacking. I think it is because my last cars had separate diodes for the high beams instead of having a flapper inside the projector housing...

I’m coming from running diode dynamics SL1 high and low beams with Max level fogs on my wife’s previous honda pilot. (With a rigid hyperspot light bar triggered from the high beams)

yes the factory lighting on any vehicle will be lacking 😁

But.
I’m loving the 4bangers so far.
(can hardly tell the factory TX low beams are on)

can you post a pic at night and also one of the beam pattern? I would like to see what this looks like because I am interested to see if you are dazzling oncoming traffic much or not. thanks.

thats what i thought after 25+ years modding lights on cars, until i got my tesla w/ matrix headlights. coupled w/ the high beams, the projection, distance, and height is absolutely nasty. tree canopies have no secrets. over 100 individual LEDs per side.
