Any Factory Tint on TX350
#6
I can get some pics when I have a chance. I did a 20% windshield strip. added MA "legal" ceramic film to the front two windows which is 40% film so it reads higher than 35% which is the limit. I also did llumar air 80% on all of the rear, sides, cargo, and sunroof panes. helps keep the car significantly cooler and the A/C doesn't have to run nearly as hard all summer long.
usually a 20% film if legal in your state on the front two windows matches the factory back privacy glass well. remember rear privacy glass is tinted but heat and IR still makes it through it. if you want the coolest car temperature wise I would also recommend some film with heat and UV rejecting properties on the rear, cargo, and sunroof glass as well...

So I ended up doing 5% nano-ceramic tint on all the back windows, and 15% tint on the front two. Also added a 6” windshield strip. It’s very dark to see out of in the evenings but nothing too difficult (especially with the safety features of rear cross traffic, sensors, huge backup camera). My tint person did advise me that a 20% tint over the factory tint would result in 5%. And also that 5% over factory would be basically limo tint. So it is currently now basically limo tint (0-1%) with the factory tinted windows. It’ll be good for summers and it looks great on the car so, no regrets! Hope this provides some insight.

where do you live? in MA this would not fly and one would get stopped all the time. in FL or some other southern states where it is really hot it totally makes sense and no one really bothers any one. there is also no vehicle inspection in FL for regular passenger vehicles which is nice other than it results in high insurance premiums.

Totally makes sense, feel like this won’t fly in most states. I’m in Oregon. Here it’s legal for an SUV or any other “multi-purpose” vehicle to have any % tint on any of the rear windows. The front legal limit is 35% but 15% I’ve noticed has never been an issue for me in any of my other vehicles also.
