explain offset to me
can someone explain offset to me. and how do i figure out what offset if best for my car. is there a way to measure or is it just testing for best fit?

to avoid incorrect wording, please visit www.tirerack.com as the site has good info on the offsets..
yes, you can test fit, but most Lexus will take offset in the +38 to +50 range

What he means by "low" or "super low" disk is that the space for the caliper.. Like on a super low disk the wheel doesn't pushout that much from the hub not leaving alot of room from the spokes to the caliper.. And on a "High disk" wheel the rim gives alot of space from the spokes to the caliper giving you room to put in some big brakes... I hope this helped....

Also...
High Disk gives you LESS lip
Low Disk gives you MORE lip
If you're looking to put wheels on your 1st Gen GS, you can do more agressive offsets than the stanard 2nd Gen Offsets...but the exact offset depends on the width of the wheel you want to do.
