Stock 17 Wheels: 235 or 245???
I went throught 2 sets of tires on my stock 17s so far...
The 1st set was a set of Pirelli P7000 in the stock size (235-45-17)
The profile was thin and the tire looked too skinny for the wheel.
So for my second set, I bought a set of Yokohama AVS db in size (245-45-17). I noticed the steering response decreased and the car felt less conected to the road. Also, the tires did not look right on the wheels. They were fatter, but just didn't look right. I guess the 245's don't go together with the rims.
Now that its time to replace my tires again, I'm stumped. Based on looks alone, what is the best tire size combo for the stock wheels?
Thanks

Tires
gs4to4,
you can actually do either...it's more a matter of preference. You are right though that some tires will "look" better than others. I have 245/45/17 on mine, but not stock rims.

Johny Mo,
Thanks for the reply. I know I can do either, I tried both sizes.
I was planning on going back to 235's because the 245 Yokos look akward, but if people will disagree with me, then I'll know that its the Yokos and I'll pick a different tire and stick with the 245's.
