Question about warped rotors
I think I just warped my rotors again, but I have a question about them. Sometimes when I warp I can feel the brake pedal pulsing and the steering wheel shaking, but then sometimes I don't feel it. Are warped rotors suppose to do this or is something else causing this problem? I get this problem at high speeds where sometimes it shakes and sometimes it doesn't. so my question isn't if its a warped rotor, but is a warped rotor suppose to give u the pulsing sensation at random?
Not sure if it makes any difference or not, but I have the brembo big brake kit w/ barley 1000 miles on it

you have warped rotors son, and the only way to not have them as frequently is to upgrade to x-drilled rotors...my rotors on my TL sucked *** and kept on warping, finally acura resurfaced them so many times that the actual rotor was thin and would build up massive heat...it sounded like a turbine engine when i stopped...you have all the symptoms of warped or out of round rotors...upgrade now...Shyne

If you get pulsation on light braking, like when taking an offramp, you got the warped rotor bug allright - - one main source of warped rotors is using impact wrenches on wheel nuts. Especially if you have upgraded brakes and nice rims, impact wrenches should never touch your wheel nuts! In untrained hands a rotor can be ruined by an impact wrench in about two seconds.
Tell that to most tire shop donkeys and they will have no idea what you are talking about.
Nuts should be tightened by hand, with a torque wrench, in a cross-star pattern, in two steps, half the rated torque first and then up to spec on the second pass.

Well heres how we tightened it. we still had the car up on jacks and basically turned the lugs till the wheels started to turn. then we lowered the car and then torqued it down to 80 lbs/ft.
