how is it that knockoffs can resemble the original so closely? I'd think that the original design would be patented? Or are the rights sold to anyone, say, after a certain period of time?

I don't think wheel designs can actually be patented...
That brand is a notorious knock-off company...man, it's so pathetic to see the lack of integrity these type of companies have. What's even worse are all the people that KNOWINGLY buy knock-off *****...that's even MORE pathetic.
Lexus owners that buy knock-offs should go to...

unfortunately, most buyers are either uniformed or just plain cheap...it's sad...people always trying to live beyond their means just to be "cool"...I have no respect for such people....like I always say, there is NOTHING wrong with driving your car STOCK.
