35mm offset on 1st Gen. GS???
I have a friend with a 94 GS and he wants to buy some wheels from me. Wheels are 18 x 7.5 and have a 35mm offset. Tires are 235/45/18. Will this work?

I'm not aware of a tire manufacturer making a 235/45-18... do you mean a 235/40-18? This will work okay, although it's a hair wide for an 18x7.5 wheel.
The 18x7.5 is actually really narrow for a car like a Gen 1 GS300. They will fit, but might not give him the aggressive look he's wanting (they will look 'sucked in' like the factory wheels.
I custom-built my brother 19x9 +37 for the front of his GS- they sit just about flush with the front fender: these would sit about 3/4" (17mm) more 'outboard' than your 18x7.5 +35. My bro's rears are 19x10 +37, a full 1 1/4" more outbaord than yours...
I'm rambling.... bottom line- they'll work. They might vibrate a bit if you don't have the correct hub-centering rings (60.1mm) for the Lexus.
