HRE's
I have a question I have a yellow IS with colormatched HRE 540's and I have been pondering on if I should sell them and get the new R series for my car. A friend of mine just got them on his BMW 5 series and they look so much bigger than mine. ALot of people look at mine and think they are 18's but a person that knows about rims knows they way HRE's are set up and know they are 19's. I have another ? What would be a good price to sell them for and for anyone that have bought the new R series what was the best deal You have gotten on them.

if your gonna sell them get them back to silver or gunmetal color, No one will want yellow color matched HRE's unless they have a yellow IS.
As for pricing on HRE with the Reverse lip, try to PM Wheels Boutique, Wheel Experts, or Wheel Kinetics.

slammed, i suggest to carefully take future's advice. either keep them, or you'll have to sell them at a very discounted price. you'll need a fellow yellow IS member that likes the color and can afford the price. that yellow really isn't a good color at all in my opinion, and its an acquired taste to others, i'm guessing.
if you can live with the fact that people who don't know are people who's opinion on your "18s" don't matter. you'll have to take a big loss, and that always hurts. though a silver or gunmetal would look extremely nice on your yellow, particularly the silver, in the R. that'd be worth the money, since HRE's to look in inch smaller given their design

The 540 style is STUNNING in a brushed/clearcoated finish with a polished lip. The paint could be stripped, and the brushed finish could be worked w/ clearcoat, keep the outer lip polished.... very nice, indeed

the idea of painting the centers gun metal I had that before I thought yellow will look great though. The reason I was thinking about selling them to is HRE or the the place where I ordered the wheels messed up on the paint color so in different kinds of lights they don't match. Sucks when you spend that kind of money on wheels, but thanks for the info guys. I'll take that into consideration when I decide on what I am gonna do with the wheels
