Default Need Help w/Tires

Hey guys, Im having an issue with my new set of wheels. I just got a set of g35 rays and they came with 235/40/19 in the front and 245/40/19 in the rears. I thought that this would be good because I wanted thicker tires to protect my wheels from potholes. I went from 19x8 and 19x9 wheels with a +38 offset to the g35 wheels (19x8 +30 & 19x8.5 +33). I originally had 245/35 on the fronts and 275/30 on the rears of my old set of wheels with no rubbing issues dropped on kyb gr2/tanabe df210. However, with this new set, I am rubbing even with the slightest turn of my steering wheel in the front. It rubs near the part of the fender closest to the door.

My question is, whats going on? It seems like it would be less likely to rub since the new front tires are not as wide as the old ones, so why are they rubbing now? I was planning on switching the front tires to the rears since the rear tires on the g35 wheels need to be replaced soon and then get some 225/35/19 fuzion zri tires.

This leads me to my next question. Is it ok to have two different sets of tires on the car? If I end up getting the fuzion zri tires, I will have them on the front wheels and bridgestone potenza re050a on the back wheels.

If it means anything, I also put the wheels on myself with the jack and tools that came with the car to change a spare tire. Thought I'd save myself some money by doing that...

Help??

2 factors that come into play as to why you are rubbing.

1. Sidewall profile. The height of your last tires, though they were a size wider, still had a lower sidewall profile compared to the new tire size.

2. Offset. The offset of your original wheels brought the wheel/tire more towards the inside (kept inside the fender), while the newer wheels bring it more outward. However, even at the slight increase to a lower offset my bet is that the tire size is the main problem.

Going back to the original tire size of 245/35 might solve the problem. However, if you get a lower sidewall profile (235/30 or 245/30) I think this will for sure eliminate the rubbing issue but not have as much protection as you want.
