Cheap Tires. Hankook? Nankang?
I ran over a nail sometime recently and I have been driving on it without any knowledge of it so I eventually drove around as usual until it ran out of air and ended up tearing up the inside of the sidewalls, rendering it unusable.
My other 3 tires have about 50% left so I really do not want to fork out 200-300 bucks fork one brand new 265/30/19 tire while the rest are worn.
My solution is cheap tires such as Nankang $130 + mounting/taxes but is it worth the risk? I am always skeptical on cheap tires.

kumho , hankook, nankang's are all fine. don't sweat it.
just be careful with over stretching, as with any brand, over stretching may cause problems.

I'd take all of them except nankangs...especially with all the made-in-china hate that's been going on lately, I'd steer away from them...who knows? maybe they have some melamine in them

The tuner oriented tire shops around here are stocking up on these new Chinese brand tires called DiamondBack
They are like 120 bucks for 265/30ZR19

Since I have alot of tread left on my other 3 tires, I want to just buy this cheap tire and run it for a year

i have kumho ku19's and changing to kumho ku21's
tried bridgestone, falken, federal, goodyear ( massive road noise), nangkang etc but keep comming back to kumho tyres.
low noise, great grip, balance on the rim good (next to no grams of weight to balance) lasts about 12,000 to 20,000kms

nankang? hankook and kumho are far far better than any nankang. hankook is actually blowing up in timeattacks in the us right now. alot of the fastest cars are running on hankook z214/z211 slicks/rcomps. kumho is actually a great quality tire too, alot of the fastest scca guys run on them.
