Default Work wheels 2IS fitment question

Hey guys,

I'm in the middle of buying some Works for my car. I had a question concerning A disk vs. R disk vs. O disk. I have an IS350, so I believe i need R disk (?) to clear the BBK. As far as the rears go, A disk (standard?) will clear the brakes fine, I am assuming, but what is the difference between that and O disk? And will O disk clear it fine too?

Also, the Work website gives +42 F and +45 R as the recommended offsets. I wanted to go a bit more aggressive... say +36 all around? Anyone know if this will work for sure?

Thanks in advance!

r disk is high disk for clearing bbk

a disk is standard for normal clearance

o disk is like low disk, where the spokes are even flatter to give more lip, but even less clearance on brakes. depending on which style you get, i *think* you should be fine with o disk in the back for more lip size

offset is useless without widths, no idea what widths you getting. but a lot of times the "recommended" setup are on the conservative side anyway

Oh right! I'm getting 8.5 for the front, 9.5 for the rear. There are a lot of setups in the 2IS forum which go even more aggressive than 36+ for the same widths, but a majority stay within the 40+ range. Also I have no idea which "disks" they are.

For the XT7's on an IS350 (no idea what disk that is) in 18x8.5 F & 18x9.5 R, the +38 all around fits rather well.

I was told by Aspec that they are hesitant to go lower than +38 due to concerns about clearance for the 350's front brakes. And +38 in the rears are a pretty good fit. Perhaps +36 or +34 would be a bit more flush though.

But I can tell you that +38 all around is a pretty good fit. Look around on the 2IS Aftermarket wheels thread for some great pictures of it (kilo6one & imaputz posts).

with those widths, +38 should do very safely

just go to work wheels homepage and size it yourself. i don't know which model you are looking for, but work wheels allow custom offsets any (big range) on all disk types

if you can tell me whick work wheels you are looking i can try to look at the spec for you. you can pm me if you don't want to tell publicly

Mm I have no idea how to navigate the Work website besides the wheel pictures haha... I found the sizing chart for the Euroline FE and it gives +42 and +45 (F and R) which again seems way too conservative! If you could look at the specs for me for these wheels that would be much appreciated!
