Brutal vibration above 50mph w/new 18x9 MB EXE IIs....
....I just put these on yesterday and took my family to see my mother (about 70 miles). The wheels are gorgeous (pictures soon) but the vibration was awful. I'm running 235/40/18s on the front and 275/35/18s on the rear with Goodyear F1 GS D3's.
I'll have the balance checked on Monday, but before I do, is there anything else to look at? I have nice metal centering rings in place and the lugs are all torqued at 72 ft-lbs. I'm really surprised at this - got them mail order from Direct Tire...should have used Tirerack.
thanks

Direct is usually pretty good... you might have a tire issue though... one might have a little hop to it that is making it through to the steering wheel... Something that won't necessarily show up on the balancer...
Is it shaking in the wheel or from the rear of the car (seats)?
