Default can i safely run a 8mm spacer on the rear of a 2nd gen gs??

I am looking at adding some spacers to the rear of the gs.I have a set of non hub centric 8mm spacers.I know most say that 5 mm is the max but is the extra 3mm gonna make a huge difference??I just dont want the wheels to fly off while driving...Any info is appreciated! Thanks

I'm running 5mm spacers (rear) and there is bearly 3mm hub lip left to support wheel. If you want to use 8mm spacer there won't be any additional support for wheel left, that means only wheel studs will hold the wheel in place, is it safe? hard to say......personally i wouldn't go that far, i think it will put too much stress on wheel studs.
BTW, if you decide to do it you'll have to replace OEM studs with longer and stronger aftermarket studs
8mm spacer=10mm longer stud (over OEM )

Whatever spacer you want to use, the rule is at least 7 full turns on lug nut in order to secure the wheel(s)

Hope it helps a bit

I have another idea
You can use 15mm H&R hucentric spacer which attaches safely to wheel hub and have it shaved down to 10mm on CNC machine. This way you'll be able to run spacer close to your specs and it will be hubcentric at the same time. I belive it will be the best option for you, very safe at least

You're about right, on 12x1.5 thread 5mm spacer will take away almost 4 turns,
