I came across a great price for a tire and wheel package but the tire sizes are unusual to me. The wheels are Ruff Racing 279's, staggered, 18 x 8.5 front and 18 x 9.5 rear. My car is a '98 GS400 and all the tire charts suggest using a 245/40/18 and 275/35/18 setup, but the package comes with 225/40/18 and 265/35/18. Have any of you used a 225/40 and 265/35 setup before (or now) and if so can you tell me what your opinion of them is? Any info would be most appreciated, thanks.
