tire fitment
Bought a 2006 gs300 and swappped the stock dunlop 225/50/17's with LS430 18" rims fit with 225/45/18's which I believe was the best size fit to emulate the action of the 225/50/17's....To make a long story short...the low profile tires were quite loud....and the rear right had a slow leak....whick caused the rear right tire to "bubble out"...and now I need to replace at least 2 tires....My question to the experts out there which have helped me quite a bit in the past in these forums...the rim is 18 X 7.5"" only....so the width of my tire would be limited...to 225's right???
I was thinking of 225/50/18's for less road noise and no more ZR tires b/c they wear out < 15,000 miles...
WOULD THE 225/50/18's fit a rim that is 18 X 7.5" ???
WHAT WOULD MY OTHER OPTIONS BE??? would 235/50/18's work???
ALSO, WHAT TIRES DO YOU RECOMMEND(100-150 dollars each)????

i would just stick with 225/45. 50 is too tall imho
all you need is some good brand and model of tires, that are quiet and soft
i have 20s with very low profile tires, and my last two sets of tires have been very quiet, even better than the stupid tires on my stock 17s
