what is the advantages/disavantages on type of lip action?
Anyways, just wondering what everyone thinks about haveing a chrome lip, or a high polished lip? I would think that a chrome lip would look really nice, but a polished lip may be a little more durable? Am I way off on this one?
thanks,
thanks,

Chrome Lip is easier to clean. Polished you would always have to repolish them to make them shine.
I've heard Chrome actually weakens the metal but not by much..
If i had known how hard it is to keep polished lips clean, i would have gone chrome lips.

and if you curb one of the chrome rims, you will likely need to rechrome at least two wheels coz' chrome color might not be the same all the time, and you dont' want people to ask you why your front and rear wheel on one side is different "color"
and yes, chrome makes the wheels weaker, i wouldn't want it on the lip. but it's definitely easy to maintain

Its really a personal preference more than anything. Chrome is easier to maintain and just a little deeper than polished. (I think chrome lip / brushed face looks great). The polisehd does take some work, but with Meguiairs NXT all metal polish, its actually pretty easy (a few minutes per lip).
The weakening and weight addition is so negligible, I would not let it sway my decision one way or the other. Its more of an aesthetic, maintenence, and cost decision making process.
Good luck!
