Default Chrome Lip on Front Bumper

Just an idea I had. Wonder what the rest of the forum thinks about this? I have added a small chrome lip to the front bumper (removed now) to see what it would like on the RX. The chrome mesh that you see isn't being removed as I like it where it is. Just interested on opinions of the front thin "lip". It does work and doesn't work.

If the mesh were to go black with the chrome lip, it would look something like this, but then I don't like it with out the chrome mesh.

I like the bottom pic with the black mesh and chrome lip.

Close up of the chrome lip. What did you use? Where did you get it? Perhaps pics of the chrome itself?

I like the concept of the chrome lip.

Thanks.

The chrome itself is just vinyl stick on at the moment to (i) gauge what it would look like (ii) to not spend large sums of money for something I may not like.

The stuff I got I just picked up from a local car accessories shop. I'm still undecided about the idea, but will play with it a bit more on the weekend to see what effect I can get with it.

Not everyone will like it. It's more exploring what can be done on the car that still makes it look good without ruining the look of it. My only issue with the RX shape is the front lower half. It needs to be extended down towards the road (especially as most RX's aren't used offroad). A front lip may be the solution there, but not sure how that would work with the stock sides and rear (always believed that if you did a kit, you do the whole kit not just a section).

Be original - take off the OEM lips [front/back/rocker covers] and have them color matched. It will look phenomenal and i've yet to see anyone do it on here.

Best alternative to a JDM/VIP aero kit that runs deep $$
