Default Need Tire Recommedation

It's time to buy new tires for the third time in three years and 30K miles. I bought tires right after I bought my SSR's, tires like 16K later, and now again.

After all this time, I've finally found a local shop that will align my tires to my car's lowered specs to ensure good tire wear. Even though the alignment's gonna run me $115, this will at least help prolong my tires (finally).

Anyhoo, I need a 245/40/18 tire for all season that has reasonably good grip for if/when the snow hits.

Currently, I'm running on Sumitomo something or other. I'm looking at the Falken Ziex 512 ZR tires.

Has anyone ever heard of Nexen tires? Specifically Nexen N3000 ZR tires.

I'm looking to spend no more than about $120-ish per tire shipped.

Any suggestions?

For the $120 price range in that tire size you don't have much selection. I would look into the Kumho ASX or for a bit more cash the Pirelli PZero Nero M&S. Those Nexen tires will not give you any traction in snow.

Is this tire SUMMER or ALL SEASON(M+S)? Do you know by any chance?

Default Nexen N3000

I bought 18" for my `99 LS400 and put 245/45/18 Nexen N3000 on. First they seemed a little louder then I expected( I read somewhere that those are very quiet tires and I thought they would be a LOT quieter then my winter tires Dunlop Wintersport M3) , but after a couple hundred miles they became better. I have 16" wheels I used for winter and going from 16" to 18" was significant difference in ride, it became not as soft, but a little more better conering and handling.
I don`t regret buying 18" wheels and tires for summer so far, and I will use my OEM 16" set for winter.
