Question 18in rims, should I lower suspension

I am going to put 18in rims on my 92 lexus es300, should I lower the suspension? If so how far should I drop it?

agree, to make the car look "proportioned" a drop is totally warranted

yes, lower suspension is a must. I think even without bigger wheels, lower suspension is still a must. I remember when I test fitted my 18s on my SC one time.. and took them right off because it didn't look right without the drop..

GOD YES!! once you see the pics of the 2nd gen es3's with 18's and no drop you'll see why. If i were you i wouldn't go with eibach because the drop is just too subtle and you still have major gappage. I would go with the intrax springs, because you will get the most agressive drop out of all the springs ive seenabout 1.7 inches i think (not sure). however you are going to have to buy these springs for a 92-96 camry v6.

I didn't even see the whole title and the answer is YES
tbridgers, I have a 92 ES, the Eibach kit is great, quality kit and drops 1". There is a Sprint kit that drops it near 2" I think but I don't know much about that company.

For many, the goal is the top of the tire is close to the top of the wheel well. That is pretty low as it translates to about 2" to 2-1/2". If your daily roads and driveways aren't friendly, a drop of 1" to 1-1/2" from Eibach or such is a practical approach.

Yes, because the most used tire on an 18" would be a 245/40-18 and that is about 1" smaller diameter than you stock tire.................so you need the drop.
