snow tires.
hey fellas, just picked up the GS400, but got two worn snow tires on the car, so I'm going to replace it with a new set.
question, I don't have much experience with snow tires, I've been told Dunlop Winter Sport M3 is a wise choice, just curious what are your experiences?

Go to www.tiretrends.com It's basicly the Canadian Tirerack site & search under winter tires. Prices are in Canadian dollars. Personally I'd go with either the Hankook W300 Ice Bear OR the all new Michelin X-Ice (which replaces the 'Alpin' line of winter tires). What winter rubber is on the car now?

yea I heard about tiretrends, I'd buy from them if I don't need the tires right now, its going to snow on sunday, I bought a set of Cooper tires for about $480 installed & balance also tax'd. I'd love to get Dunlop Winter Sport M3, sucks that I still havn't sold my Golf.

I live in the Chicago Area...
I am running 225/55 16 Dunlop Winter Sport M3s, They are the most amazing High Performance Snow Tire I have ever owned.
Powdery snow: Stops like a dime
Heavy Snow 6 inches: I drive past SUVs
Ice patches: Stops like a dime
Cold Pavement: -15 to -25 Traction is still amazing
Expressway I have taken them up to 127 without any float...they felt like my Michelin Pilots
Tread wear is 100 times better than any other snow tire I've used (Should last 3 seasons easily) They are quiet. no road noise at all.
They are worth every penny.
Previously tried M2s, Blizzaks, Nokians and Semperit Sport Grips.
Chicago weather makes me become a tire freak.
