lug nuts gone bad
hey for all you wheel owners that got free lug nuts. Let me rephrase. hey all of you that have cheap lug nuts get rid of them right now. i had the ones that came with my set of wheels and didn't realize how *****ty they realy were. to help matters out the last shop that put my tires own rung out the inside of the already rusting chrome lugs. they didn't bother to tell me. so i'm at my mans shop and we are taking rear wheels of to adjust the parking break and some other stuff. all of a sudden a 10 min job turns into a three hour headache and one futched up wheel. maybe i'm the only one on the planet with cheap lug nuts, but just incase i'm not i decided to give some others a heads up so you want end up with a head ache. CHANGE THEM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been given nuts like these before and tried installing them. I was skeptical of a free lug nut so I installed the first one not very tight and it already started deforming. I took it off and threw out the rest. Way too soft to be used for anything.
Always buy your own quality lug nuts. Locking ones are even better. I have Gorilla ones (McGard is good too) and have used the same set of nuts on multiple cars. I've had the nuts longer than I have had most of my cars.

yeah we ended up using a air chisel to break it loose. usally it breaks loose and you can screw it of after a couple of hits but not to my luck. yeah those lug nuts sure were soft. that one wore out in less than a year and a half.
