can anyone explain what "Odisk, Adisk, Rdisk" is and which would have the fatest lip setting. im planning to purchase some wheels but i want to know what the largest possible lip i can get in the front and rear. 19x9, front you need A-normal disk, +38/74mm lips

19x10, front either A-normal +38/87mm
or, 19x10, O-deep rim disk, +45/87mm

need for R-big caliper disk since you will run stock brakes

I meant to answer this yesterday, but my fellow vendor has already chimed in. The disk specs identify the curvature and back spacing of the face. I love the fact that WORK makes these options availible.

For example, the WORK Euroline LS was transitioned to the Maido LS-5 (WORK makes Maya, Maido, L-Sportline, etc). But Maido reduced the fitments to 2-3 specs. So I had someone looking for a set of 19s for a Acura TL and they could not get them, since Maido only made the wheel in 19x8.5 with offsets in the 30s and 40s (TL needs about a 51 on a 19x8).

question:

while they usually have some "preset" offset, i thought these companies they can do custom offset too? i know couple of jdm companies doing that

That is my gripe with the companies that market JDM wheels to the domestic customer, ie, Lowenhart, Maya, Maido, etc. In the best intrest of stocking/importing, and cost they market 3pc and 2pc JDM wheels like 1pc wheels. So they stock 2 or 3 offsets for a few different cars and that's it. They re-drill to make wheels with a M/B offset fit a SC430, etc etc.

My Acura TL experience uncovered this for me. Had I been able to simply get them from WORK, I could have ordered a 19x8, 52 offset, with a deep lip disk (2"lip). But Maido only had 19x8.5 with 2 or 3 offsets, so I could not get him the wheels .

Another good example is LXOGOOD, because he wanted to specify certain clearances and offsets, he had to actually order his Lowenharts through GS4Will, I'm quite sure his local wheelshop probably didn't even know what a "super-low-disk" was!!

That is the one flaw of these companies, they kinda defeat the purpose of getting custom wheels, since they only carry "off the shelf" fitments.

agree with you derrick. i didn't know about all thes custom setup until recently when i was helping some people to get their wheels as well (no i wasn't selling, i was only helping on fitment). i find it pretty cool, so not only hre are making custom wheels

and that makes me wonder too, why the heck do they post preset offset values on all teh magazines, that's so confusing
