You might get a better response if you posted this question in the "Suspension" forum up top, or PM a moderator and ask them to move it.

I don't have extensive experience but I can tell you the setup that was on my car when purchased that did not work. I have an '08 GS460 that I purchased from a local used car dealer. During the test drive, it would bottom out and hit the fenders both front and rear almost constantly. It even caused slices in the tread blocks and bent one of the trim pieces around the wheel well. They had lowered it with Tien S Tech springs (the green ones) and it is running TSW 20x9 front with 245/35-20 Yokohama S. Drive tires and TSW 20x10.5 rear with 275/30-20 Yokohama S. Drive tires. They specialize in "muscle cars" and had put this setup on to give it an aggressive stance and help with move it. Before completing the sale, I required them to replace the springs with the factory ones but keep the rim/tire combo. Since then, it still rubbed in the front when turning and pulling into/out of driveways etc and the rear rubs then loaded and hitting bumps above 30 mph. I took a heat gun to the fender liners in the front and smoothed those out as best I could. That had alleviated most of the rub issues up front.

I really like the look of the 275s on the rear but am considering 265s or hopefully getting a coilover kit to firm up the ride and prevent it from bottoming out. From what I've read on this site so far it looks like those two options could help but I need to dig a bit deeper in my research.
