For those on bags
#16
maveriCK.. & Nebula,
Can you both PM me what you paid for your setups (or just reply here if you don't mind it being in the open)? I want to do bags so bad but can't figure out what a reasonable price would be. It ranges so much and there is so much information out there.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

paid $3164 out the door..which includes the extra compressor, compressor harness, dual compressor isolators and better smc check valves. those extras are about a $300 value
i wouldve paid only $2800 if i didnt add the extras.
my setup is airlift 3p with airforce struts.. i bought it from atlanta air ride and installed myself.

Can shoot me a PM and I can give you my number and also assist if you need help. I'm running:
- Full Airlift 3P (management and F/R struts)
- 4 gallon end port tank
- Dual compressors (requires second power harness)
- Compressor silecners
- Upgraded SMC check valves
- 1/4" lines, (3/8" is more difficult to run if running them inside the car due to its thicker diameter)
- SMC Water Trap
Hardest part was running lines through the firewall into the interior cabin, as well as aligning the rear bags (worst part of install). Other than that pretty straightforward. Just make sure the lines are free of any potential kinks and far enough away from moving parts. For me, I added wire loom when lines were near the moving parts to prevent any possible rubbing.
Maintenance wise, just empty your water trap once a week and check your bags and lines periodically when looking under the car. I empty water trap every time I fill up (3 weeks) average. Humid areas may require you to empty it more as more moisture will build up into the tank and lines.
