Tanabe lowering springs
#2
A lot if people on this forum have the tanabe springs installed, and from what I've read, they seem to be pretty happy with them.
I hope the owners post on your thread to make your search easier, but if you search the forum, I'm sure you'll find their threads/posts.
I canceled my order for them only because I actually want slightly more of a drop.

My concern with them is they say the droop is 1.1 front and 1.2 in the rear with a F sport model. I wonder if it will be even lower on a non F sport model.
RS*R springs say this about theirs below...They are even lower on non F sport
Normal GS Drop is approx
Front 50 to 55mm Spring rate 4.89kg/mm (1.9-2.1 inch drop)
Rear 50 to 55mm Spring rate 8.16kg/mm (1.9-2.1 inch drop)
F Sport GS Drop is approx
Front 35 to 40mm Spring rate 4.89kg/mm (1.3-1.5 inch drop)
Rear 35 to 40mm Spring rate 8.16kg/mm (1.3-1.5 inch drop)

From what I have gathered, these companies list two different drop numbers because apparently, the f-sport sits a bit lower than the non f-sport.
It is the same spring, and the end results are the same, but the f-sport will have dropped less from its stock height, where the non f-sport would have to drop a little lower to sit on those same springs. Once installed, both f sport and non f sport, are at the same height.

On this page, you wlll see two members with the tanabes installed. You can get a look at them on stock 18s and on 20s.
