Unfortunately the 2nd Gen diff was not compatible. I noticed that UR has a 6 point rear lower chassis brace for the 3rd Gen GS. That's next on the list.
And........?

More understeer? Did it tighten up the chassis? Feel more solid?

Yes, just like my 2nd Gen GS, the sways, strut tower bars and chassis braces make a HUGE difference. Sled status has been achieved.

What is nice is that these Ultra Racing parts are very reasonably priced. No shipping charges or taxes when purchasing through their eBay auctions. I still have to install the rear links that I just received in the mail and I'm going to order the 6 point rear chassis brace as well. Cornering is just awesome now.

Did you cut the carpet in the trunk to fit the rear bar?

Any pics please?

Apologies for the delay. Yes, the carpet was cut in the trunk for the rear bar.

My car is at the bodyshop getting front/rear lips, sides and new paint completed. I'll post some pics when I get it back. It's going to be there for awhile.

The VSC on the 3rd Gen GS is incredibly sensitive. You can permanently disable VSC by holding down the button for a few seconds when in park or when your foot is on the brake. This is the only way you can push the cars limits regarding cornering and also test out your suspension mods. This was also the case with the 2nd Gen GS. In all honesty, the only way I can drive the car aggressively is with VSC off. It is the first thing I do after starting the engine. If it wasn't off, VSC would constantly be engaged during cornering and power to the back wheels would be cut off in the middle of a turn which sucks.

As I said in my earlier post, sway bars and strut tower bars are the mods that really tighten things up and allow you to feel the difference. Now, when I hit the throttle hard on a sharp turn, there is very little body roll and I'm literally sending a cloud of smoke into the air as more power is being distributed to both rear tires due to virtually no body roll. However, I am now looking into an LSD project to get more power to the inside wheel when cornering. As usual, one mod leads to another. I'm hoping that the UR 6-point rear chassis brace will also help to distribute power equally. I could also go to a wider wheel in back as I currently only have a 9.5 on. I definitely recommend the UR STBs and braces that I have installed so far. The car is an absolute sled with the current set up.

I'm hoping that the addition of a Torsen LSD will give more power to the inside wheel on turns, therefore giving me more traction. Going to the IS350 gear ratio of 4.08 right now seems a little bit nuts unless I can come up with a LSD solution as I am not going to drop $2K on the Tom's LSD. Of course you could simply not do wide open throttle on turns, but what is the fun in that?

Not completely finished yet. I still need to add the 6-point rear brace in the first photo below.

However, I did recently add the 2 rear lower braces to go along with everything else that is on the car. Those braces are pictured in the second photo and remind me of the Tom's Links kit I had on my 2nd Gen GS. Car is an absolute sled.

Looking at the front upper brace - that thing will not do much as the design sucks - the end plates are made so that they are very weak where they need to be strong.
